SiREM Associates

SiREM is proud to work in association with our academic and industry partners in pursuit of increased knowledge of remediation and improvements of our suite of products and services. SiREM has intellectual property agreements with DuPont, Stanford University and the University of Toronto. In addition, SiREM has and continues to participate in collaborative research with more than 15 academic institutions in Europe and North America.  SiREM has participated in research and development of a culture for biodegradation of tetrachloroethane in association with the United States Geological Survey (USGS). SiREM is participating in the SABRE project researching bioremediation and bioaugmentation of a complex DNAPL site in the United Kingdom (http://www.claire.co.uk/sabre.php).  SiREM maintains strong relationships with leading scientists in the field of remediation in order to keep us at the forefront of remediation technology.

"SiREM Laboratory has been working collaboratively with USGS since 2002 for the US Army.  SiREM's specialized experience with KB-1 in scale-up and field application of a new microbial consortium complimented the ongoing USGS studies of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane biodegradation. By pooling strengths, USGS and SiREM have been able to meet the Army's needs of enhancing biodegradation processes in a wetland ecosystem within a short timeframe by going from the laboratory bench to the field.
