Sandra Dworatzek to Speak at AEHS West 2026 Conference
Sandra Dworatzek will present "Validation of an Equilibrium Passive Sampler for PFAS Quantification in Aquatic Environments" at the Association for Environmental Health and Sciences (AEHS) 35th Annual International Conference on Soil, Water, Energy, and Air. The conference, also known as AEHS West, will be held in San Diego, California, on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. PT.
Sandra is a Senior Principal Scientist at SiREM with more than 28 years of experience in bioremediation of chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, emerging contaminants, and other recalcitrant compounds. She has specific technical expertise in the design of laboratory treatability studies, the scale-up of growth of aerobic and anaerobic microbial cultures for bioaugmentation laboratory and field pilot tests, and the evaluation of aerobic and anaerobic bioremediation, zero valent iron, and chemical oxidation technologies in the laboratory.
AEHS West is an environmental conference that brings together professionals from state and federal agencies, environmental engineering firms, consulting companies, industry, and academia to share cutting-edge research, innovative approaches, and practical insights.
The AEHS Foundation is a nonprofit professional organization that fosters communication and cooperation among professionals who assess, clean up, and protect soil, sediment, and water. The AEHS network spans professional disciplines, including biology, chemistry, geology, engineering, and regulatory science.
