Taylor Aris
Quality Coordinator
In this Employee Spotlight, we’re thrilled to shine a well-deserved light on Taylor, a dedicated member of our SiREM family since 2017. Armed with a microbiology major from the University of Guelph, Taylor’s career began with work at the Ontario Cancer Institute assisting with lung cancer xenograft studies followed by work at the National Microbiology Laboratory studying Bordetella pertussis.
Taylor recently proved instrumental in the successful ISO accreditation initiative which saw SiREM achieve accreditation to the ISO 17025 standard. In addition to her accreditation role, Taylor’s innovation shines in her contributions to various genetic testing projects, notably in the development of our SARS-CoV-2 wastewater testing service.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Taylor finds joy in baking, reading books, and spending time with loved ones including her dog, Charlie. Taylor’s diverse talents and vibrant spirit are a true asset to SiREM, and we are proud to have her as an integral part of our team.
“Working at SiREM is very fulfilling, I love being a part of finding solutions to environmental challenges.”
