Gene-Trac-Testing-and-Compound-Specific-Isotope-Analysis-in-AUZ

SiREM Opens Location in Australia for Gene-Trac and CSIA Services

SiREM’s Gene-Trac® testing and compound-specific isotope analysis (CSIA) are now available in Australia from our new location in Brisbane.

Gene-Trac® testing and CSIA are used to assess and optimize remediation processes for chlorinated solvents, hydrocarbons, metals, nutrients, and other recalcitrant compounds. SiREM Australia provides Australian points of contact and local sample reception to reduce shipping costs and logistic complexities related to accessing these services in Australia.

Gene-Trac® Testing: Gene-Trac® quantitative PCR (qPCR) and
Gene-Trac® Digital Arrays quantify microorganisms and functional genes that metabolize a wide range of contaminants. Gene-Trac NGS is next generation sequencing that characterizes microbial communities in natural and engineered systems. SiREM qPCR testing is accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard as part of our comprehensive quality assurance program.

Compound-Specific Isotope Analysis

CSIA uses naturally occurring stable isotopes to evaluate the extent of contaminant degradation by biotic or abiotic processes. Characteristic isotope ratios also allow “fingerprinting” of contaminants for source identification and forensics. SiREM provides CSIA through a strategic partnership with Isodetect, a leading CSIA provider in Leipzig, Germany.
