SiREM to Contribute to the 2025 Clemson Hydrogeology Symposium

Jacques Smith, PhD, and Julia Butler will present at the 2025 David S. Snipes/Clemson Hydrogeology Symposium at the Madren Conference Center in Clemson, South Carolina, on Thursday, April 3, 2025. Jacques will also moderate a session.

SiREM practitioners will be available at a table the Conference Center’s exhibit hall to talk with attendees. The event is hosted by the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Science at Clemson University.

Jacques is a Senior Scientist based in Tennessee who manages SiREM’s Knoxville laboratory. He is an expert in environmental laboratory testing, including next-generation sequencing, coal-combustion-residuals (CCR) waste reclamation, leaching studies, settling and dewatering, and wastewater-treatment processes.

Julia is a Senior Staff Scientist based in Tennessee with experience focusing on environmental testing, data analytics, and groundwater remediation.

The Clemson Hydrogeology Symposium is an annual event featuring presentations by leading academics and technology providers in the field of hydrogeology. It is the largest gathering of its kind in the Southeast United States.
