
Larrissa Smith to present at the Tailings and Mine Waste Conference 2024
Larissa Smith (Ontario) will present “Evaluation of Biogeochemical Processes for Weak Acid Dissociable Cyanide” at Tailings and Mine Waste 2024 on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. GMT at the Westin Westminster in Denver, Colorado. Her coauthors are Sandra Dworatzek and Jeff Roberts, SiREM (Ontario) and Valerie Bertrand and Elizabeth Walsh, WSP (Canada).
Larissa Smith is a Scientist in the treatability division of SiREM. She has more than 10 years of experience in treatability services and studies, and in other testing fields.
The Tailings and Mine Waste Conference is a forum for presenting the state-of-art and state-of-practice with respect to mill tailings and mine waste. It is also a major platform to discuss topics facing the tailings, mining, and environmental communities.
This year’s conference will be hosted by the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department at Colorado State University. The conference includes technical presentations and keynotes by practitioners and experts worldwide, a tradeshow; five short courses, and opportunities to network.
